Coach Kelly

Coach Kelly and her family have been involved with the SCC swim team since 2011, when her daughter, Katie, joined the team. Her son, Chris joined the team in 2014, and Collin joined in 2017. Coach Kelly joined in the fun and began coaching the swim team in 2018.

Coach Kelly grew up in a swimming family but did not begin swimming herself until she was 13. She went on to swim through high school and at La Salle University. Before starting her family, Kelly coached summer swim teams in New Jersey, as well as a high school team and a USA team.

Kelly is so glad that she has had the opportunity to return to coaching. She enjoys working with every age group, from teaching the newest swimmers about competitive swimming to training the experienced swimmers to drop times and work for their personal bests. Coach Kelly truly believes that the SCC swim team has the best kids around. They’re kind, hard-working, respectful, and team-oriented! She loves being a part of the SCC team and looks forward to seeing her swim team friends every summer!

Coach Stacey

Coach Stacey began her connection with the SCC Swim team when her oldest daughter Kayla, began swimming for SCC at 6 years old. In 2019, she was asked to coach and her youngest daughter Maylin joined the team at age 5. Now it’s a full family affair with her husband Ryan as the team’s announcer.

Coach Stacey grew up down the shore in Somers Point NJ where there were no summer swim clubs, so she didn’t start competitively swimming until age 14. She swam throughout High School, competing mostly in backstroke and distance events. She also swam for Drexel University for one year while also rowing for Drexel’s crew team. Coach Stacey keeps her competitive connection to swimming by trying to squeeze in at least one or two sprint triathlons each summer.

She is so excited to be back coaching, she missed all the kids and the amazing families that make the SCC Swim team so special. She loves that unlike most other sports these days, kids can start at any age, and at all abilities and everyone gets a chance to compete in every meet.

Coach Katie

Coach Katie has been swimming since she was 7 and has been swimming for SCC all 10 years! She also swims for the Ridley RAYS in the winter. She has been coaching the team since 2019 and has always enjoyed helping out! Katie loves working with the new swimmers in the 3 foot section and she loves seeing their passion for swimming develop. Her favorite thing about coaching is seeing her little friends develop as swimmers and move on to become strong athletes who are able to race on their own.

Coach Brett

Coach Brett started swimming at 10 years old when he joined the SCC Swim Team in 2010. He joined the coaching staff in 2016. Coach Brett is a Springfield native and Springfield High School Class of 2018 graduate. He spent the majority of his summers at the Springfield Country Club Pool with his family growing up!

His favorite thing about being an SCC Coach is helping the swimmers improve on their strokes and times. Coach Brett truly believes summers would not be the same if not spent at the pool with his SCC family!

Coach Bridget

Coach Bridget has been swimming for the SCC Swim Team for 10 years. She also swims in the winter for the Springfield High School team. This is Bridget’s first year coaching for SCC and helping out with the little kids. She loves working with the littles and seeing them learn so fast but yet have fun with what they are doing. Her favorite part about coaching is seeing each kid surprise themselves with how amazing they do and seeing how much better they get every single day. Bridget looks forward to coaching for future seasons. She can’t wait to continue to introduce kids to swimming and have them fall in love with it just like she did.
